The first part of this presentation discusses the importance of complying with the food safety requirements and maintaining the product quality, as well as the challenges experienced with steam sterilization. The second part of the presentation discusses the opportunities and challenges of food irradiation technologies, such as LEEB, for the spice industry in Europe.
